On Sunday, the ten teams in Bahrain had the last chance to prepare their cars for the start of the season . In the gallery we show you the highlights from the big test final in the desert.

The winter tests have barely started when they are over again. The test run spectacle on the Bahrain International Circuit came to an end with the eight-hour shift on Sunday (March 14th) . For the grand finale, the teams' plans were of course particularly packed. All that had to be ticked off that was not managed in the first two days.

Actually, the basic work should be finished by now. Nevertheless, in the morning you could still see a few cars taking aerodynamic measurements with large sensor grids on the runway. This suggests that many teams have been technically upgraded again. At the end of the test drives, the engineers finally unpack the parts that will also be used at the start of the season .

At the end of the winter tests , there were of course a lot of racing simulations on the deployment plans, which provide good conclusions for an initial performance comparison. The traditional final day program also traditionally includes fast qualifying runs with little fuel in the tank and soft tires. The fans were given a little foretaste on Saturday.

Test debut for George Russell

When it comes to driver personnel, almost all teams used the tactic of sending both regular drivers into the race at the end of the test week. Only Kimi Raikkonen at Alfa Romeo and George Russell at Williams got the car for the whole day of the final. In the case of Russell , it was the first ever appearance in Bahrain . Williams was the only team to let a test driver behind the wheel with Roy Nissany on Friday.
