With the Audi R18 TDI Ultra, Art & Revs offers the last Le Mans Audi to date that is equipped with a pure diesel drive.

There is only one Audi R18 TDI Ultra from 2011 in private hands and this is now for sale at Art & Revs, a Luxembourg dealer specializing in exclusive sports and racing cars. The car is the last Audi so far that competed in Le Mans with a pure diesel drive - hybridized models were then used. Audi presented the R18 TDI Ultra in 2010, and in 2011 it won the Le Mans 24 Hours - diesel technology had reached its peak.

No races so far

The car with chassis number 100 now offered by Art & Revs is a replacement vehicle that was not used in the race. Audi built a total of eight models of this type, six of which still exist today. For media purposes that now was for sale car the look of his later hybrid siblings in 2013 - this look made restorers completely reversed.

Another 10,000 kilometers of mileage

The turbocharged 3.7-liter V6 of the R18 TDI Ultra develops 532 hp. The Garrett TR30R turbocharger with variable turbine geometry sits in the hot V between the cylinder banks of the engine. Audi specifies the maximum mileage of the engine with 10,000 and that of the transmission with 7,000 kilometers - the new owner should be able to use these mileages almost completely.

Former Audi racing engineer helps with commissioning

According to the provider, the R18 TDI Ultra offered by Art & Revs is the only one that has ever been sold to a private owner with a functioning control unit and thus drivable. The dealer emphasizes that the car would be much easier to maintain than one of the later hybrid variants. The seller assures that a former Audi race engineer can help if the new owner wants to bring the vehicle back to the start in races.

Since the Audi R18 TDI Ultra is a car worth several million euros, Art & Revs only reveals the price to promising customers.
